This clip shows how we worked with reference video material for Fish for Life, our 3d animated short. Here you can compare the reference with the final animation of the fisherman Manolin.
The video references were shot in early 2018 with the actor Michael Marwitz. In order to facilitate the animation process, we marked the legs and arms of the actor with colored tapes. Michael tried various walk examples, of which we had to choose one. We used Autodesk Maya for rigging and animation. This animation, in particular, was made by Lisa Mona.
